just to make them feel better I've done it twice! once with a snowball when aged nine - aimed at mother standing at the sink - boy was she shocked. The other I was a teenager and let a door slip from my grasp in a strong wind and it blew back onto a windowsill. Neither time was my pocket money confiscated and banishment to my bedroom was NEVER an option, bedtime was supposed to be welcome not punishment. Happy glass cutting.
Boys will be... generally unheeding of consequences. And alarmingly, the trend continues throughout their youth, middle age and dotage (or so I'm told!)
