Crawling

Little Doris has started crawling. No longer can I leave her in one place with a few toys, safe in the knowledge that she will remain safely where I left her. Guarding stairs, coal buckets, extra cleaning, safely storing away small objects; with three mobile kids, parenting threatens to get frenetic.

And your point is?
As a radical feminist I'm glad to see you undergoing serious oppression with respect to child care. It's about time more of my sisters broke free from the bonds of male oppression and then went on to put the men in bondage. And why stop there? Exhort your wife to 'go down't pub' at least 4 nights per week and start to develop a beer belly, a pathetic interest in sport to hide her own inabilility & lack of talent, and stange delusion that they actually are an expert on absolutely flippin' everything.... only then will men understand what it has ben like for me & my sisters over all these years. So go, go that hideous man and fulfill your name with actions- chase young children all day, andmake sure you have the tea ready for you hard working partner when she comes home from her big finanical job in the city.
I assume you always slip into something alluring before she comes home?

And my point is?

-I record milestones in my kids and our family's development. 3 kids make me 'busy' not 'bitter'.

Er, yours?

Now, now, don't be touchy. I am merely attempting to bring some light & diverting humour to your blog while remaining within the well known, and tried & tested 'radical feminist genre'.
You must remember the famous Chinese phrase - 'he who has blog spot with 'post comment' facility must be willing to deal with adverse anon. comment'. Given that the proverb is itself ascribed to anon. has of course caused some concern that it may be somewhat self serving, but that is a issue that cannot be dealt with fully here; rather I would refer you to my recent book 'Blogging bloggers and the probem of the final redactor in the pseudo-prophetic Chinese proverbs of the Minging Dynasty' (OUP, 1998)
Your loving auntie
Germaine
PS, of course #I# am bitter - I'm a feminist.

You raise a valid point about allowing anon comments. Perhaps the time has come to disable that facility...

Did someone mention my name?
Of course, thathideousman, it is your decision if you wish to stop me. But I'm sure that you won't miss the gentle irony that while you prevent others from leaving comments anon. you still remain anon. yourself.

Yours, as ever the voice of legion,
Anon.

A gentle irony not compounded by the fact that you know who I am, and vice versa.

Dear thathideousman,
I have just logged on and on scanning through your pages note that you are being bombarded by comment, from a variety of sources, some presumably fictional and others 'anon.' and to add to the intrigue I see know who it is! Do you think 'it' is one person? That would be a bit sad of course, because it would mean that perhaps only one person is actually taking full account of your splendid site. Of course if it is only one person, then they must be witty, gregarious and be at home in a wide range of genres.
I also note that someone has been on personating me and having the nerve to leave second rate poetry about being depressed. Well, if *that* is the same person who is anon. then if you do know who it is you must reveal them to me so that I can verbally abuse them in person.

"2nd" rate?

Well obviously I don't want to be too hard on the person- I mean he or she has probably done their best and given they are apparently suffering from a genuine 'self-worth' thingy it is hardly going to help them if they are told that they are really wick at poetry as well.

I wrote "2nd rate?" to see if the author would presume I was downgrading to a 3rd, or upgrading to a 1st!

I actually appreciated the poetry posted on the comments (under the Milligan book). It gave me a new insight into what my depressed family and friends experience in life.

Of course, its made me feel completely miserable.

Just think, Milligan used his depressions to make millions laugh. Our poet friend has used his to make me feel really down!

Good to know its all worthwhile!

Ah - trying to flush him/her out with ambiguous remarks - very shrewd.

So you recognise the greatness of my poetry? In that case I reveal my self
