My 4-year old aka 'Doris' is fascinated with the desk-top-publishing programme on my PC. She asked to join in with something I was doing, and very soon had worked out how to insert shapes, move them around, size them and colour them. She decided she likes squares, and then after dumping a handful of them around the page spent almost half an hour moving them into the places she wanted and experimenting with different colours from the palette. She didn't manage to send the middle square to the back by herself- I had to help her with that - but she was quite pleased with her design when she finished it.
