Attic of Possibilities

This is a photo of the attic of our house. There are many bad things about living in an old house, such as the dust, and the lack of insulation. There are also many good things, one of which is that in the 'olden days' they built good sized attics at the top of houses. This one is just oozing with possibilities for use. I have a friend who is an architect who came round to give me some ideas of what to do with this space. "What did you have in mind?" he wanted to know. The image which immediately sprung to mind was something like the following...

More realistically, something like this would do!

An attic like that is screaming out for a train set. Its an opportunity not to be missed...

I see where you are coming from, Dave. My one reason for reticence about moving the train-set up there is that it means the kids will follow me up there... when I am trying to get away from them!

I don't think you should give up so quickly on your first library selection. Just a few simple modifications to your roof and you'll be on your way to a REAL library! :-)

Methinks it would make a good recording studio! :-)

I'll be round with my egg cartons.

Surely egg and spoon go together like curry and number - now was it three of five??

I suppose it depends on the strength of the curry!
